The pharmacists at Sierra Kings District Hospital oversee medication use at the hospital and five affiliated clinics.  The pharmacists are members of the multidisciplinary team of patient care providers.  Pharmacy is staffed by licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

In addition to routine duties, the pharmacy provides these services for hospital patients:

• Packaged unit-dose tablets and oral solutions
• Sterile IV solutions with electrolytes or other additives
• Patient education materials for medication use and related health conditions
• Drug information for health care providers and patients
• Clinical consultation relating to medication therapy, including pharmacokinetics, food interactions, and specialized dosing
